Daewoo
Daewoo was a large South Korean conglomerate headquartered in Seoul that was founded in 1967 under the name Daewoo Industrial. The company is active in many areas, such as mechanical engineering (including industrial trucks and forklifts), steel processing, shipbuilding, the weapons industry and the financial business. Daewoo Heavy Industries, the mechanical engineering part of the company, was taken over by Doosan in May 2005. The products such as machine tools are currently sold under the name Doosan-Daewoo by Doosan Infracore.
