The Manitou Group is a manufacturer of off-road material handling equipment and off-road forklifts. Its headquarters are located in Ancenis, France. The Manitou company was founded in 1953. In 1981, Manitou introduced the first models of telescopic material handling equipment. The German subsidiary Manitou Deutschland GmbH is based in Ober-Mörlen in Hesse. The product range includes telehandlers, off-road forklifts and truck-mounted forklifts as well as off-road work platforms.
