Komatsu
Das Komatsu Unternehmen wurde am 1921 gegründet und war lange Zeit allein in Asien in nennenswerter Weise präsent. Im Jahr 1988 gründete man gemeinsam mit Dresser Industries ein Joint-Ventureunter dem Namen Komatsu Dresser zur Herstellung und zum Vertrieb von Baumaschinen. Erst durch die Übernahme verschiedener kleiner europäischer Produzenten konnte Komatsu auch in Europa größere Marktanteile erringen. 1993 vereinbarte man eine Zusammenarbeit mit Cummins. 1999 erwarb man vom finnischen Gabelstaplerhersteller Kalmar Industries deren nordamerikanisches Tochterunternehmen Kalmar AC. 2003 kaufte Komatsu von Kone deren Tochter Partek Forest. Die Firma Komatsu führt ein umfangreiches Produktsortiment im Bereich Baumaschinen und Nutzfahrzeuge wie Gabelstapler und Teleskoplader. Seit 2004 gehören auch Forstmaschinen zu Komatsu Sortiment.
